Since July 2019, the Tulip Festival has been part of the World Tulip Society. It is an association whose aim is to bring together all the stakeholders of the tulip around parks and festivals around the world, but also the distributors and artists who have used the flower as a model.
Every two years, members gather at the World Tulip Summit. This summit is an opportunity to exchange and celebrate the tulip, its history and to create links between the different stakeholders on the theme of the tulip. In 2019, the congress took place in The Hague, Netherlands, from 14th to 16th October. Each participant had the opportunity to make a brief presentation of their festival or park to the other delegates.
In order to reward and highlight the actors with a particularity, several awards were distributed. Some officials representing different embassies and consulates were present. The Morges Tulip Festival was awarded the "2019 World Tulip Destination Worth Travelling For" award to highlight its 50th edition in 2020. Although most festivals have a larger area, the Morges Tulip Festival is one of the oldest tulip festivals in the world. This nomination will thus have worldwide repercussions for the festival.
