Ferreyres’s boxwood shelters the vestiges of an industrial past, the ancient iron furnaces are part of it.
At the side of the road, there are some furnaces of national values protected by a concrete aedicule. These furnaces were used for iron ore. This rare site is particularly well preserved, it has been classified in the Inventory of Swiss Cultural Property of National Importance under the title "Prehistoric and Medieval Ironworks".
