Above the vineyards of La Côte, between Morges and Nyon, the Swin-Golf of Lavigny welcomes children and adults, golfers and novices, on a hill with a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva. The whole family can take part in this sport derived from golf but less expensive. It is played with a soft foam ball larger than a golf ball and a single three-sided club. The course is smaller than a golf course and the game is accessible for children from 8 years old.
All participants benefit from a free initiation before setting off on the 18-hole course of about 11 hectares. Each of the 18 holes is named after a bird: Hole 5 with 220 metres is called, for example, The Owl.
It takes 1h30 to 2h00 to play 9 holes and 2h00 to 4h00 to play 18 holes depending on the level of play. Holes 9 and 18 as well as tee-offs 1 and 10 are close to the reception, giving the possibility to play the course in two phases of 9 holes with the possibility of a break or a meal at the restaurant Le Chalet Gourmand.
The restaurant serves simple and typically Swiss dishes based on local products in the dining room or on a holiday-style terrace. The wine list favours local producers. It also offers evening concerts.
Willing to be open to all - Lavigny also hosts an institution for the disabled - the Swingolf is currently preparing six wheelchair-accessible slopes.
For the Lavigny Institution, Swin-Golf represents a place of integration: the maintenance of the ground is indeed ensured by a socio-professional workshop.
Come to Lavigny for a nice outing with family, business or friends, whether for a moment of relaxation, a meal on the pleasantly shaded terrace of the restaurant Le Chalet Gourmand, or for a sporting discovery.
