Association of merchants of the City of Morges
Founded in 2007, COOR - or Coordination des commerçants de Morges - aims to promote and preserve the assets that are essential to the life of its businesses.
Much more than a retailers' association, COOR sees itself as a link between the town's various players: retailers, industrialists, the general public and the authorities. The latter provide effective support, particularly in terms of logistics and infrastructure.
With some 300 members, COOR acts as a guarantor for the municipal authorities, when it comes to negotiating night-time and shop-opening hours, discussing traffic plans for the town, or taking part in meetings concerning major urban development projects in Morges.
In this way, COOR is a force for action to attract and retain consumers by supporting commercial activity. It also puts forward proposals to improve the retail environment. It represents and defends the interests of its members.
