Dizy est un charmant petit village avec ses maisons entourées de champs, qui sépare le Veyron de la Venoge au centre de l'ancien District de Cossonay, en périphérie nord du District de Morges.
Very slight remains and the name "La Batiaz" suggest that the site was inhabited in Roman times and perhaps even earlier. The chronicles of the Sires de Cossonay tell us that the village was the stronghold of the Chevaliers de Dizy, who served under the Cossonay family until its extinction. At that time, the village was already populated by families that were still very much alive, including Brocard, Devenoge, Gaudin and Jaquier.
Nevertheless, Dizy is mentioned in 964 AD under the name of Discidis (Dysi in 1041) in a charter of the convent of Romainmôtier during a real estate transaction.
The surrounding area is ideal for walking, cycling or horse-riding.
