MORGES, GARDENS OF THE CASTLE - During 12 days int he gardens of the prestigious Castle of Morges, will take place the International Symposium of Sculpture in Morges. Under the eyes of the public, 20 artists sculptors coming form the entire world to the International Symposium of Sculpture will realise a piece of art through a piece of stone.
The Morges International Sculpture Symposium, founded in 1992 by Ewald Brigger, brings together over 20 sculptors from various countries.
For 12 days, the artists' creations can be admired in the gardens of the Château de Morges. The sculptors receive a block of stone (Buffon d'Etrochey (40 x 40 x 80 cm)). All the work is done by hand, in full view of the public.
Free admission over the 12 days is one of the priorities of the event.
The works will be displayed in the gardens of the Château de Morges, from June 5 to 16, 2024. At the same time, various workshops and works will be presented by guest artists (more information at www.symposiumsculpture.ch).
At the end of the event, Myrons are awarded at a closing ceremony.
